*February 28, 2025—The People’s Union is planning a 24-hour economic blackout all day on February 28, beginning at 12 a.m. During this time, participants are pledging to not make any purchases either online or in brick-and-mortar stores. (We’ll list upcoming “no buy” days.)

*March 8, 2025–International Women’s Day

*April, 2025–Celebrate Diversity Month

*April 1, 2025—Florida holds two special elections for U.S. House seats. The 1st District — considered a safe Republican seat — is vacant following the resignation of former Rep. Matt Gaetz, who was nominated by President-elect Donald Trump as attorney general but later withdrew.

*April 5, 2025–Hands Off Protests Throughout the Country: www. indivisible.org

*May 1, 2025–May Day National Day of Action. See details at: https://maydaystrong.org/

*June–Pride Month, Celebrates LGBTQ+ rights and promotes equality and inclusivity

*June 10, 2025—New Jersey holds its primary elections for gubernatorial and legislative races.

*June 14, 2025–No Kings Day, nationwide protests to counter POTUS’ massive military parade that is partially aimed at celebrating his birthday. 

*August 8—September 6, 2025—Congress/Senate Recess, enabling constituents to voice their concerns during visits to the lawmakers’ home offices.

*August 19, 2025–World Humanitarian Day

*October 18, 2025–“NO KINGS” protests throughout the country.

*October 28, 2025–National Immigrants Day

*November 13, 2025–World Kindness Day

*December 3, 2025–International Day of Persons With Disabilities

*November 4, 2026—Mid-term election. Federal offices that are up for election during the midterms include all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives, and 33 or 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate.
